Staying hydrated during hot summer months is a no-brainer. We’re constantly reminded to drink water, to the point where it has become ingrained in us to reach for the H2O at every chance. However, as the temperatures drop and the sun hides behind clouds, we often think less about staying hydrated. In order to consume our body’s daily need for the beverage, adding some natural and healthy flavor creates an extra incentive to drink up.
Each night, fill a pitcher full of water and add any of the following to taste:
Cucumber: Rich in vitamins and minerals, cucumbers are known to provide boosts of energy (thanks, vitamin B!) as well as to aid with weight loss and digestion.
Mint: Although not widely known, mint is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. It has a substantial amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. It also helps to neutralize bad breath, so adding it to your water keeps your breath extra fresh!
Lime: Can you say Vitamin C? Limes are packed with the nutrient! Additionally, they also have antioxidants and anti-bacterial properties, which help to detox your body!
Berries: Filled with antioxidants, berries will add a deliciously sweet hints to the water while providing your body with glorious health benefits.
Let these flavors infuse the water as it chills overnight in the fridge. By morning, you will have your daily dose of delicious and hydrating water.
